Whoa. Went on my first run in YEARS this morning. It wasn't pretty but I felt great afterwards (once I regained my breathing)...

Recently my gal pals have been motivating me to get off my mat and try out new ways to move and "sweat." For the longest time I've been anti anything that wasn't my yoga practice. I could give a s*it about calorie burning, intense workouts, tracking my weight, etc. For me, my yoga practice is much more than all of that. For the longest time I was certain that it was all I needed. I'm realizing, however, that venturing off of the mat is so much fun. It's another way to keep me active and out in the STL wellness community that I LOVE so very much. Not to mention, I can feel how happy my heart is!!

Lessons learned: Balance is key. Get out of your comfort zone. MOVE. Pick up new habits and make today amazing.
